Colourful Berwick

Brighter Berwick

It’s been a while since the last Real Glamour blog

Shyness got in the way of my being able to approach people and then I moved up North which took my mind of it.

It’s really nice to be back with the first ever Colour Day in Berwick-upon-Tweed, my new home.

The geniuses behind this idea were Roland Wallis and Jonathan MacFarlane of ROJO Antiques in Berwick. They thought it would be nice, and tempt visitors down to Bridge Street, (one of the streets that’s made up entirely of independent businesses) to have a day in Berwick when people wore the brightest colours they had, or those clothes they’d always wanted to wear in public and had never dared to.

To me this is the ultimate in Real Glamour. Real People, dressing how they want to, brightening up the street with their playfulness, joie de vivre and FLAIR.

We’re all hoping this is going to happen again and again and again. It was a great start.
