What a difference a day makes - the importance of weather forecasts
We all know photography is about light. It is also about weather. Photographers should check their weather forecasts every day, it saves time lugging the camera round to no great effect. If the light is bad, the photography will be bad. Neither of these photos have been retouched. The light did it all.
Same scene, roughly the same time in the morning, a few degrees in temperature difference and twenty four hours earlier. But what a difference.
The freezing temperature turned the plant life glittering, caused a mist to rise up from the stream and the amber winter sunshine filtered through the trees, warming every plant and bird it touched.
